  • CBD is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any ailments.
  • CBD (cannabidiol) is an extract from the cannabis or hemp plant that has no psychoactive properties and is classified as a food supplement in the UK. This means it will not produce a “high”. The Government, therefore, has recently decided that it is legal to grow, sell and consume CBD.

CBD is classed as a food supplement and does not require a prescription in the UK and as such CBD is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any ailments.

CBD 1000mg oil spray comes in a 10ml bottle containing 1000mg of cannabidiol. The oil is natural and rich in vitamin E together with Omegas 3 and 6.

    1 Spray = 12.5mg CBD

Spray the desired amount under your tongue and hold for 1-2 minutes before swallowing. Repeat this, 2 to 3 times per day.

The spray can be taken with or without food but preferably prior to a meal as it may lower your blood sugar.

Absorption occurs under the tongue, through blood capillaries, allowing CBD to get directly into the bloodstream thus the bioavailability is higher than with capsules.

The optimum amount per serving varies from person to person due to many factors including size, build, metabolism, age and gender. Most people find an average of 12.5 to 50mg per day (that’s 1 to 4 sprays) to be appropriate.

It is recommended that you allow at least a 2 hour gap between administering CBD and any medicines prescribed by a doctor.

Please do not exceed the 200mg food supplement daily limit.

If the taste is not to your liking, then simply rinse your mouth afterwards to disperse the flavour.

You are strongly advised to discuss using CBD with your doctor if you are taking any prescribed medicines.

Most publications report that CBD is non-toxic and well tolerated with very few unwanted effects. Any effects that have been reported are minor. However, you should be aware of the potential effects listed below:

CBD may have an impact on liver enzymes which could affect the way in which pharmaceutical drugs are metabolised. This means that if you are taking medicinal products their effectiveness may be decreased or increased. However, this is reported as a potential and has not been verified in clinical trials.

Dry mouth can occur with CBD but is easily corrected with a glass of water.

Light headedness, as a result of a small drop in blood pressure, has been known but is normally only caused within a few minutes of inhaling via a vape device and tends to alleviate quite quickly.

Drowsiness, particularly with high levels of CBD, is the most common unwanted effect although still quite rare. If you are affected, then you should not drive or operate machinery.

    Workplace Drug Testing

A workplace urine or saliva drug test for cannabis looks for THC or its metabolites. White Pharmacy CBD oil from NuMeds contains cannabidiol. It contains little, if any, THC and complies with the regulations that say it must contain no more than 0.2% THC. Therefore, the use of CBD oil should not give rise to a positive THC urine or saliva result if used according to the recommended dosing instructions. However, we advise that if CBD oil is being used, then the condition for which it is being taken should be declared to Occupational Health, as this itself may be a risk in a safety critical environment.

It is recommended that all products, whether prescribed or purchased over the counter, should be declared at the time of sample collection to aid accurate interpretation of results. Any medicines or supplements that are not relevant to the interpretation of the result should not be identified on the report, so donors can declare these knowing that this information should remain confidential.

    Servings above 200mg

In daily servings of 300mg or higher it has been reported by two patients with Parkinsonism* that their tremors got worse. This effect was quickly reversed by reducing the dose.

If you feel drowsy after taking CBD you should not drive or operate machinery.

No cases of overdose of CBD have been recorded.
